A Poem to the Matriarchs and Patriarchs of Our Race

Props to those who picked the cotton that we wear
Props to those who invented the way we wear our hair
We appreciate, the prelates of our race with the pace they've set
Never to regret our arrival to this land of another shaded man
I can do much because of such greats as MLK
Ride what I want where I want due to the honorable Lady Parks
Engraved marks rest in the hearts of many
Of which I'm one yes I am one... I do remember
A pride not an enemy of biblical instruction
But parallel to the direction of “appropriated memorial”
To documented historical figures…our people…our kind
My mind races to the struggles I’ve seen by the contraption invented by evil itself
Narcotics, wine spirits, shallow erotic counterfeits of true pleasure
Never to measure up to the life they saw
Yes ‘they did not get to the promise land with us” but we are here
Much of the reign yet to enjoy however we will employ what is rightfully ours
Many hours, nights days of torture, race driven rage, inhumane acts…by Jack …
Don’t be alarmed the B-I-B-L-E contains the word…don’t label as absurd
What’s absurd is injustice and the clothes it wears some camouflaged and some as obvious as bright orange hair
We say thank you
Thank you for the struggle so we won’t have to
Many of us do however majority percent by our choice cent
Purchasing us and those affected/infected by us ….pain
Thank you for your faith in God despite the faithlessness of man
Thank you
Thank you
Thank you
